The Alphabet Tea Towel

I designed this tea towel using my experience as a teacher. First I created a cohesive set on illustrations with a limited colour palette. Then I selected fonts without any funky ‘a’ or ‘g’ that some children find difficult to read. I placed the letters with the alphabet song in mind. It’s one of the first things children learn when they start recognising letters.

The Finished Tea Towel

I use a local digital printers NextState. They offer a beautiful soft linen that’s perfect for tea towels. I hem each one and add a label and hang tag.

Illustrated animal alphabet chart with animals representing each letter. Examples include anteater for A, bandicoot for B, camel for C, duck for D, elephant for E, flamingo for F, gorilla for G, and more, up to zorilla for Z.
